The workshop is addressed to students from art faculties who are interested in the production of the animation short film, and consists of a theoretical course on the principles of animation and a practical exercise to implement them.
Laura Pop is a multi-award winning animated film director from Sibiu, Romania. She studied scenography at UNATC Bucharest and ENSAD Paris and graduated with a master’s degree in Animated Film from UNATC.
After finishing her dissertation film, The Monster, she did an internship at the Belgian studio Camera-etc, where she directed and created her second short film, Miroir. He has worked on various animation projects in both film and theater.
Laura is currently writing a doctoral dissertation in cinematography and is working on her new short film.

14-15: squash and stretch, anticipation, staging, straight ahead action and pose to pose, follow through and overlapping action, slow in and slow out
15-16: arc, secondary action, timing, exaggeration, solid drawing, appeal
16-18: the concept and scenography in the animated film
10-11: presentation of the topic and sketches
16-18: animation and clean-up
18-19: viewing and closing
